EvoLogics underwater acoustic modems provide full-duplex digital communication using the patented S2C (Sweep-Spread Carrier) technology, delivering an excellent performance, resistant to the challenges of a dynamic subsea environment.

 

Self-adaptive algorithms adjust the S2C parameters to maintain the highest bit rate possible in current conditions.

R-Series

S2C R “standard” build modems are highly configurable. The series features a large selection of short- mid- and long-range devices for shallow or deep water applications.

S2C R modems offer the widest selection of options and depth ratings to find an exact match to most unique and application-specific tasks

Mini-Series

S2C M-series offers the full benefits of the S2C technology in a light and compact design, targeting size- and weight-sensitive applications. 

The series features several popular transducers in high- and mid-frequency range, as well as a unique high-frequency transducer for fast short-distance transmissions.

Tiny-Series

The newest light and ultra-compact design represents a size reduction of almost 20% compared to mini-modems.

The S2C T series form factor is available for high frequency models, catering to various applications with 4 frequency range/directivity options.

All EvoLogics S2C Underwater Acoustic Modems and Positioning Systems are available in OEM configuration without housing, ideal in cases where minimal size and weight are critical.

OEM devices feature standard S2C electronics and a cable-mounted transducer, carefully matched to the analog front end unit for best performance.

 

These systems are ideal for integration into your own products and equipment, such as:

  • AUVs and ROVs

  • Integrated sensors

  • Surface buoys

 

OEM devices can be configured with most of options and modules available with standard S2C devices.

Any S2C R underwater acoustic modem can be configured as an S2C beacon - a compact battery-powered device with built-in acoustic release mechanism and floatation collar.

With EvoLogics' patented S2C technology, the beacon is a great communication and positioning performer, optimized for short- and mid- term deployment and easy recovery back to the surface.


As a transponder for LBL or USBL positioning, an underwater communication network or relay chain node, the S2C beacon can benefit applications including:

Mounting Frames
For mounting and protecting SC2 devices

For proper mounting of S2C devices and protect them when operating in harsh environments.

EvoLogics S2C mounting frames protect internal electronic components against mechanical damage due to shocks, strong vibration, abrasions, etc.

Standard mounting frames are compatible with: all S2CR modems

S2C Acoustic Release
For deploying and recovering underwater assets

Compatible with selected EvoLogics S2C devices, the Acoustic Release module uses acoustic signals to trigger the Acoustic Release to drop the attached weight, deploy sensors at desired location, operate a mechanism, or recover underwater equipment.

After receiving a special acoustic trigger from a remote S2C device, the module opens the lock and releases the shackle or frame
with the asset attached. Based on a hydraulic system, the powerful opening mechanism offers great durability with its reliable construction.
